On Friday, Dec. 7 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP were patrolling the town checking for impaired drivers.
Police conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck and found a 21-year-old man to be impaired. He provided breath samples nearly twice the legal limit.
The truck was towed and impounded and the driver received a suspension of his driver’s licence. He now faces charges of impaired driving and is set to appear in court on Feb. 4.
