Habitual impaired driver arrested for impaired operation of a snowmobile in Nain

RCMP note thanks to public for reporting the incident

On Friday, Nov. 23 at approximately 11:20 a.m., Nain RCMP received anonymous information reporting an impaired driver on a snowmobile in the community.

Police located 58-year-old Ross Dicker, of Nain, driving a snowmobile on a roadway and initiated a traffic stop.

A roadside demand was provided and Dicker failed/refused to provide a sample of his breath.

Dicker was held in police custody with this being his third impaired driving related charge currently before the court. He was released from custody by the court on Nov. 23 with conditions to not operate any type of motorized vehicle.

His next court appearance has been set for February 2019.
