Newfoundland performer Cassidy Little will grace the famed cobbles of "Coronation Street" this fall, as he guest-stars on six episodes.

Little, 36, will appear on the beloved British soap opera — which is also popular in Canada — as a Paralympian who meets young amputee Jack Webster, becoming a mentor to him.

Little left St. John's to pursue a comedy career in England and ended up joining the Royal Marines. He served two tours in Afghanistan and it was there that he lost his leg during an IED blast in 2011.

Little has plenty of TV, film and theatre credits in the U.K. In 2013 he was the face of the Royal British Legion's poppy campaign, and in 2015 he and his dance partner Natalie Lowe were voted the winners of "The People's Strictly."

Similar to "Dancing With the Stars," the show saw professional dancers paired with members of the public considered to be real-life heroes. Viewer votes determined Little and Lowe the winners, and money raised by the show went to charity.
