Despite cool and slightly damp weather, people showed up for the second annual Labrador West Auto Show. Cars and trucks of many eras and an occasional motorcycle were in line for lots of photo taking.
“We had 42 vehicles registered,” according to organizer Todd Kent. “This is our second year having the show and we are learning as we go.
“We are really happy to have participants from our neighboring town of Fermont, Quebec. People seem to like the vehicles, old and new.”
Kent said there are a number of individuals and businesses that help make this event successful. No event like this is complete without food, and kudos to the Special Olympics group for feeding the crowd.
Every year, those in attendance vote for the People’s Choice Award. This year the winner is Mario Savard of Fermont with his 1968 Camaro Z28. The award was presented to Savard by 2017 winner Scott Coombs.
Kent is grateful for the people who brought their vehicles to the show. He says they are working on a bigger and better show for next year.
