A child, a teenager and two adults are dead after a two-vehicle collision Sunday on the Trans-Canada Highway.

The RCMP says two SUVs collided near the Chapel Arm exit around 5 p.m.

All three people in one of the SUVs — a 41-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman and a child — died in the accident. The 18-year-old driver of the other vehicle is also dead. According to a police report, they were all pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 16-year-old passenger in one of the SUVs was injured. He was brought to hospital in St. John’s.
