Searchers locate ATV believed to owned by missing Norris Arm South man

Exploits Search and Rescue utilized a hovercraft and underwater video equipment to search for the missing man from Norris Arm yesterday in the area of Charles Arm.

The search for a missing Norris Arm South man which has been ongoing since Sunday focussed on the Charles Arm waterway yesterday and returned some results.

Late Tuesday afternoon, searchers located the ATV believed to be owned by the missing 51-yearold man. It was found in approximately 15 to 20 feet of water in the Charles Arm waterway, a police press release stated Wednesday morning. 

 Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP and Exploits Search and Rescue have returned to the area this morning and resumed their recovery efforts.


Search and rescue crews were examining the waterway with their hovercraft and underwater viewing equipment yesterday.


The name of the missing man has not been released at this time.
