NATUASHISH, N.L. – The RCMP is continuing to investigate the death of a three-year-old boy in Natuashish on Saturday, July 7.
According to a RCMP release issued today, July 9, police responded to a call from the community clinic reporting a seriously injured child. By the time officers arrived, the boy was deceased.
Members of the Happy Valley-Goose Bay general investigative and forensic identification sections, traffic services, the RCMP’s major crimes unit, as well as the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner have all been engaged in the investigation.
A property in the community was secured and has since been released by police. A vehicle was seized and multiple interviews have also been conducted.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
“The RCMP sends its condolences to the loved ones of the young boy and to the community of Natuashish,” the release states.
