Happy Valley-Goose Bay woman rams police vehicle while allegedly driving impaired

HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, NL – A 44-year-old woman, who was allegedly driving while impaired, struck a police vehicle in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Tuesday, May 8.

The woman, Jody Ann Blake, was in the process of being stopped by the RCMP when she reversed into the vehicle.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m., according to news release from the RCMP.

Charges against Blake, who is from Happy Valley-Goose Bay, include impaired driving, assault with a weapon, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.

She was released following a court appearance on May 9 and her next scheduled appearance is May 28, when she is also facing two other counts of assault, a count of public mischief and a count of failure to appear in court.
