Food fishery announced for Newfoundland and Labrador
The food fishery will be 46 days long in the province this year, Avalon MP Ken McDonald announced Friday for the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
The RCMP in Newfoundland and Labrador will be out in full force for National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day on Saturday.
Officers throughout the province will be focussed on stopping impaired drivers and will also be on the lookout for speeding, distracted driving and the use of seatbelts.
It’s the 10th year the RCMP in the province have participated in the policing initiative, which is held during Canada Road Safety Week.
Motorists can expect to see increased patrols and numerous sobriety checkpoints.
