Cancer care partnership for Labrador gets nod for outstanding leadership
A three-year program to enhance cancer care for indigenous people in Labrador was recently honoured for outstanding leadership.
Premier Dwight Ball is in Labrador today.
Ball is giving the keynote address at the Combined Councils of Labrador’s annual general meeting in Happy Valley-Goose Bay this evening.
Joining him are Municipal Affairs Minister Eddie Joyce, Environment Minister and Lake Melville MHA Perry Trimper, Cartwright-L’Anse au Clair MHA Lisa Dempster, Labrador West MHA Graham Letto and Torngat Mountains MHA Randy Edmunds.
Ball will also announce funding for a number of projects in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Saturday.
The Combined Councils of Labrador represents the interests of all municipalities in the region.
