FLOWER’S COVE, NL – Students from the Grade 8 class at Canon Richards Memorial Academy on the Northern Peninsula spent five days working with film mentors Latonia Hartery and Victoria Wells this past May.
Together they created a short documentary film called “Cold Wind and Water” that looks into what it’s like for youth living in the remote and rural region.
The film was made through the St. John's International Women's Film Festival's FRAMED Film Education Series.
It premiered at the St. John's International Women's Film Festival in October and was posted to the festival’s YouTube channel on Thursday.
