Garnish native receives honorary Doctor of Divinity degree
Garnish native Thomas Moulton was presented with an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Queen’s College in St. John’s on May 4.
The RCMP will be hosting a Police Week open house and barbeque at the Happy Valley- Goose Bay RCMP Detachment on Wednesday, May 17.
Police Week, May 15 to 21, aims to promote community awareness and recognition of policing services while strengthening police-community ties. Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP is inviting the public to come out and discover what policing is all about.
The event is open to the general public and schools and daycares are encouraged to bring their students in to meet RCMP employees and tour the detachment. Schools and daycares are asked to call ahead to book a time slot for the tour of the Detachment. RCMP members, along with Safety Bear, will be greeting the public.
When: 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. with barbeque and cake beginning at 11 a.m.
