Curtis Scales of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is on the official QMJHL lineup sheet tonight for the Charlottetown Islanders, who are in Halifax tonight taking on the Mooseheads.

Scales was traded to Charlottetown by the Gatineau Olympiques last week, along with a 1st round pick in 2014 and a 1st Round Pick 2015, for Alexis Pepin.

Scales was expected to be in the lineup this past weekend, but Head Coach Gordie Dwyer never penciled him in.

But, ever since the big trade, Dwyer expected Scales to, quickly make his way into the lineup.

“Well, we expect him to (be in the lineup). We obviously made a lot of moves and are going with a youth movement. And we expect to see him at some point this weekend for sure,” said Dwyer.

“He’s a good skater and he’s intense, that’s what we like about him. He’s got a chance to be a forward that brings that energy…”

Tonight’s game against the Mooseheads is scheduled to begin at 7 pm Atlantic time. Those who wish to watch Scales major junior debut can watch the game live on the QMJHL website for a fee.
