With spring in the air and a newly elected executive, the Trappers’ Running Club (TRC) is happy to announce that the 2014-2015 running season has started.

This year, the TRC will host 11 running events (four of which will be timed) and five running clinics. The clinics include: Kids Marathon Program, Learn to Run, Accelerated Learn to Run, 10 km, and Half/Full. We will also host the seventh Trapline Marathon on Oct. 12.

None of these events or clinics would be possible without the continuous and generous support of the many volunteers and sponsors. Each of these individuals and organizations/businesses has helped to make running a growing sport in Labrador. On behalf of the TRC executive and all the TRC members, thank you for this support.

In particular, we would like to thank all of our volunteer coaches, the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and the Trapline’s major sponsors: Air Labrador, Minipi Outfitters, Nalcor, Rotary Club of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Serco Management Inc, and Sodexo.

We look forward to another great year of running and another great Trapline Marathon. And to the runners all across Labrador: run full tilt!
