Nunatsiavut Group of Companies (NGC) has purchased helicopter operations from Universal Helicopter Newfoundland Limited.
According to a statement released this morning, NGC has partnered with Tasiujatsoak Trust and CAPE Fund in the purchase of the helicopter operations.
The acquisition of UHNL’s helicopter operations is an important part of NGC’s overall business portfolio,” said NGC President and CEO, James Thorbourne, in the press release.
“UHNL brings with it a wealth of experience and knowledge of not only Newfoundland and Labrador but also Canada’s arctic regions. UHNL is the ideal fit with our existing Labrador based fixed wing and marine transportation assets.”
According to the press release, the sale of UHNL’s helicopter operations is expected to be completed within the next two months.
