The Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP is investigating two cabin break-ins, which occurred recently on the Trans-Labrador Highway.

During one incident, which occurred between June 8-11 on Route 500, the suspect(s) attempted to steal a boat and successfully stole a trail camera. Also stolen during the break-in was some liquor and other sundry items.

The other break-in occurred between June 9-10 at Edwards Brook, but it is believed that nothing was stolen during this incident.

“RCMP are asking cabin owners to be vigilant and to report any other thefts or suspicious persons or vehicles in the area,” Staff Sgt Don Rogers said  in a news release.

The RCMP is also asking that anyone with information about the cabin break-ins to contact the Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP at (709)-896-3383 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
