Suspicious activity suspected in house fire

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) says the cause of a house fire on Blackler Avenue in St. John’s Tuesday night is considered suspicious.

The residence was vacant at the time of the fire and sustained extensive damage. No injuries were reported at the time of the fire.

The RNC is continuing its investigation and is asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons or vehicles in the immediate area prior to the fire or have any information in relation to the fire to please contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
