The RCMP has arrested an 18-year-old man from Sheshatshiu after a traffic stop was conducted on May 26.
The traffic stop was made after the RCMP in Sheshatshiu received a report of an erratic driver on Route 520.
According to an RCMP news release, the man had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
The man was held in custody and was scheduled to appear in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Provincial Court on May 27. He is facing charges of impaired driving, impaired driving while over 80 mg, obstruction, and offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
The matter is still under investigation.
