Two impaired drivers arrested in Labrador

RCMP officers in Labrador caught two impaired drivers during Canada Road Safety Week, held from May 13-19.

During that week, the RCMP conducted 11 checkpoints, which the police use to educate motorists about safe driving practices.

The RCMP in Labrador also had one person refuse a breathalyzer during the week, and laid 37 charges for various offenses under the Highway Traffic Act and the Criminal Code.

In total, more than 700 vehicles were checked in Labrador during Canada Road Safety Week.
