Petty Officer Allison Tilley rings the ship’s bell from the HMCS Cabot in recognition of vessels lost at sea during the Second World War as part of the annual Battle of the Atlantic Commemoration Ceremony at the War Memorial in St. John’s Sunday. Similar ceremonies were held across the country as people gathered to lay wreaths to mark the 71st anniversary of the battle.
