For the second night in a row, officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook responded to a complaint from a residence of a male banging on their door and shouting.
This incident occurred at 2:10 a.m. Thursday on Concord Avenue, and the residents of the home were senior citizens who had been asleep when the banging and shouting started.
Upon arrival the officers found a lone male lying down on the front steps, intoxicated. The accused was at the wrong house. He was several kilometres away from the residence he thought he was at.
Unfortunately, for this 25-year-old city man the police investigation revealed he was on a release document from a previous offence not to be under the influence of alcohol.
He was detained until sober and will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge for violating this release condition.
The seniors were frightened by this incident, but were otherwise unharmed.
