A 24-year-old man from Sheshatshiu is facing charges for impaired driving after being arrested on April 18.
After pulling over the man’s vehicle, the Sheshatshiu RCMP discovered he had more than double the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
The 24-year-old also has a suspended drivers license and is under court order to abstain from drinking alcohol.
The man is being held in custody and will be appearing in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Provincial Court on April 19. He is facing charges of impaired driving, impaired operation of a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, and breach of recognizance.
