The RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay arrested two impaired drivers in less than an hour on the afternoon of April 8.
At 1:50 p.m., a 28-year-old man was stopped on Mud Lake Road and was arrested for impaired driving. He will be appearing in court at an undetermined date, and will be facing charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and impaired operation of a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
At 2:40 p.m. a 43-year-old Happy Valley-Goose Bay woman was pulled over while driving on Churchill Street. She was subsequently arrested for impaired driving by drug.
The woman will also be appearing in provincial court at an undetermined date, where she will be facing one charge of impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drug.
