Eugene Francis Foley,45, was in provincial court in Harbour Grace on April to hear his fate in a June 2013 incident with police.

On top of jail time, he also received eight months house arrest, two years’ probation, two years driving prohibition and a three-year firearms prohibition after Foley pled guilty to four offences stemming from an incident last year.

Foley entered guilty pleas to dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, refusing to blow the breathalyzer, initiating a police pursuit and assault with a weapon.

On June 23rd, 2013 members of the Placentia RCMP with assistance from the Whitbourne detachment attempted to stop the Foley when they suspected he was impaired while operating his vehicle in the community.
