One man was taken to hospital this morning with serious injuries as a result of a house fire in Torbay.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is continuing to investigate the fire that broke out on Torbay Road, near Indian Meal Line, shortly after 9 a.m.
RNC officers, along with firefighters from the Torbay Fire Department, paramedics from Eastern Health and Torbay Public Works employees responded.
The RNC said in a news release an adult male was conveyed to hospital with serious injuries and the home sustained extensive

A home in Torbay was damaged by a fire this morning.
The Torbay Volunteer Fire Department, Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and Health Sciences Centre emergency personnel were on the scene at 1425 Torbay Road, just past Indian Meal Line.
There are unconfirmed reports of one person being taken to hospital.
