The RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay start up their snowmobiles. They are patrolling some snowmobile trails in town today

A group of RCMP officers in Happy Valley-Goose Bay are patrolling local trails on snowmobile today.

In total, ten officers, including Happy Valley-Goose Bay community constable Cliff Sampson, will be out looking for snowmobilers who are breaking the rules.

“We will be out all afternoon, maybe even past supper time,” said Sampson.

‘We’ll be focusing on some of the problematic areas of town.”

Some of the officers will be in plain clothes, rather than in uniform. This way, they may have a better chance of catching rule-breakers in the act.

More to come on this story.

My street is still full of skidoos (day and night), speed no object, don't get in their way or you might, as I have, get threathened with a raised fist.

Why don't the RCMP post a check stop on NWR to prevent the numerous drunk drivers, repeat offenders from hurting/killing anyone?!!
