Whiskey and marijuana seized in Hopedale

The RCMP in Hopedale has seized 35 bottles of Golden Wedding Whisky, 24 bottles of Royal Reserve Whisky and more than 30 grams of marijuana.

The RCMP in Hopedale seized 35 bottles of Golden Wedding Whisky, 24 bottles of Royal Reserve Whisky, and more than 30 grams of marijuana yesterday afternoon, while it was being brought into the community.

The RCMP believes that the whiskey was being brought into Hopedale in order to be sold illegally.

Cpl. Rick Mills, RCMP Labrador District Media Liaison, says that the investigation is still ongoing and the RCMP can’t disclose how the whiskey and marijuana was brought into the community.

    Where do you buy alcohol, the NLC !!! Somebody had to know something was strange when somebody buys that much alcohol. Talk to the manager there, or was he told to ignore it???
