Pre-budget consultation sessions postponed until new minister appointed

Pre-budget consultation sessions scheduled for St. John's, Corner Brook and Stephenville this week have been postponed to a later date.

The schedule for pre-budget consultaitons in Newfoundland and Labrador. Sessions for St. John's, Corner Brook and Stephenville have been postponed to a later date.

A spokesperson for the Department of Finance says the sessions will be rescheduled once a new minister has been appointed.

Finance Minister Tom Marshall was sworn in Friday as interim premier, following the resignation of Kathy Dunderdale.

Other pre-budget consolation sessions are set to go ahead Friday in central Newfoundland and continue in early February in Labrador, Marystown, Clarenville, Springdale and St. Anthony.

    Sincerely, when was the last time a Finance Minister paid heed to the suggestions brought forward by any presenters? Waste of time, energy and especially scarce money.
