Happy Valley-Goose Bay man arrested for impaired driving

A 22 –year-old man from Happy Valley-Goose Bay was arrested today for driving a snowmobile while impaired.

According to an RCMP press release, the man was found to be more than three times the legal blood-alcohol limit when given a Breathalyzer test.

“The male was arrested in the area of Mesher Street and Churchill Street while operating a snow mobile at approximately 11:00 am. The male blew three (3) times the legal limit,” states the press release. “The male will appear in Provincial Court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at a later date. The RCMP would like to remind the public that drinking and driving while operating a snowmobile carries the same penalties as operating a motor vehicle.”
