It was interrupted Wednesday during the first day of proceedings when his lawyer requested a psychiatric assessment.

She made the request after George was laughing throughout witness testimony.

Today, Judge David Orr was told that doctors at the Waterford Hospital want a further seven days to complete their evaluation.

George is due back in court next Thursday.

The 21-year-old is charged with sexually assaulting one nurse and assaulting another while he was a patient on the psychiatric unit of the Health Sciences Centre in May. He's also charged with peeking under women's bathroom stalls at the facility.
