According to the RCMP, this vehicle went off the road on October 20, whle travelling between Goose Bay and Sheshatshiu.
At approximately 4:50 am on October 20th, 2013 Happy Valley Goose Bay and Sheshatshiu RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision approx 20km outside of Sheshatshiu on the North West River Highway. The vehicle, which was travelling from Goose Bay to Sheshatshiu, had lost control and landed at the bottom of a steep embankment. One of the occupants was able to exit the vehicle on their own. The Fire Department was required to utilize the Jaws of Life to extract the second occupant.
Both occupants were transported to the Labrador Grenfell Health Centre in Happy Valley/Goose Bay, NL for treatment. The 46 year old man and the 25 year old man are both from Shesahstshiu and their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
Sheshatshiu RCMP is investigating the incident and it is believed that alcohol was a factor.
