An RNC surveillance photo shows David Folker walking into a wooded area at the intersection of Maddox Cove Road and Blackhead Road in August 2010, a few weeks after his girlfriend disappeared.
The photo was submitted as evidence in court today.
Folker is charged with second-degree murder and interfering with a human dead body. He's accused of killing Ann Marie Shirran, his girlfriend and mother of their young son, on July 18, 2010.
In testimony at Folker's trial today, RNC Sgt. Hubert Hall, co-ordinator of the search and rescue unit, told the jury about the large number of resources used in the extensive search for Shirran.
Hall said several officers, along with volunteer rovers, helicopter and marine searchers, members of the Ontario Police Force, with K-9 units, were all involved in the search.
"We utilized all methods and all resources at hand," Hall told the court today.
All along, Folker was maintaining his story that he didn't know where Shirran was.
However, last week, in the opening days of the trial, Folker admitted he had been lying.
He admitted that on July 18, 2010, he and Shirran were involved in a physical altercation and that she died as a result. He admitted he then disposed of her personal items in the Blackhead Road area and dumped the 32-year-old's body in Cappahayden.
The trial will continue Monday, with RNC forensic specialists set to testify
