Blogger and failed politician Brad Cabana is in court again this morning, where he'll learn if judge Gillian Butler will recuse herself from the case.

On Friday, Cabana blindsided the court by accusing Butler of bias, and being in a conflict of interest. The decision on whether he'll get his way will likely come sometime today.

Cabana is challenging the Muskrat Falls mega project, saying that certain aspects of it are unconstitutional. The current hearing was meant to be about whether the judge will issue a declaratory order to stop all future expenditures on the Muskrat Falls development until all the legal uncertainty is sorted out.

But if Cabana is successful in getting Butler to withdraw herself from the case, the whole thing could be sent back to square one, and the whole process would have to start over again with a new judge.

The Telegram will be providing continuing coverage from the courtroom throughout the day.

Please Brad, take some advice and stay away from all cameras and microphones. You have quickly become the laughing stock of NL. Give it up by, run for NDP and complete the Hat-Trick. This Hour Has 22 Minutes could run another 8 seasons based on you alone. Perhaps thats all you were looking for in the first place, your "22 Minutes of LAME"

I don't know all the ins and outs of this case, but I have to say that Mr. Cabana has guts. Who among us would have the nerve to take on the Government. We all grumble about the goings on but no one does anything. There are no Fighting Newfoundlanders any more.
