Man charged with impaired driving on liquor store parking lot

A 25-year-old man was charged with impaired driving today after the pickup truck he was in drove onto the parking lot of the NL Liquor Store in Happy Valley/Goose Bay, hit a small car and pinned the female driver.

The RCMP says the door to the car had to be forced open and the female taken to hospital in Goose Bay to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation revealed the driver of the pickup had over two times the legal limit of alcohol in his body.

The accused was later released from custody and a court date set in April.

Seriously...why don't we just balance the provincial budget by producing a reality TV show here..."LIving Drunk in Newfoundland and Labrador". It could run a full hour a week, year-round, and have Molson's and Capt. Morgan as major sponsors. C'mon, everybody.....keep doing your part to promote the province as...well, as whatever this is. But if it makes us famous, and "wordl class", that's gotta be good, right?
