Three charged with trafficking cocaine

Three people are facing drug-related charges in Labrador as a result of an ongoing drug-trafficking investigation by the RCMP.

Ben Michel, 39, of Sheshatshiu is facing a charge of trafficking in cocaine. He was released to appear in provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at a later date.

Valene Andrew, 25, of Sheshatshiu is facing a charge of trafficking in cocaine. Andrew was released to appear in provincial court at Happy Valley-Goose Bay at a later date.

Joseph Cooney, 59, of Happy Valley-Goose Bay is facing a charge of trafficking in cocaine. He was released to appear in provincial court at Happy Valley-Goose Bay at a later date.

The Labrador District RCMP Street Level Drug Unit and the General Investigation Section are continuing the investigation.
