A 52-year-old man from Postville, Labrador, was arrested Friday without incident at the Postville airport under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act when police seized about five ounces of marijuana

The man was later released by police to appear in court at a later date. He is facing charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana and breaching his probation.

The RCMP is reminding the general public that information provided to police about illegal activity is important to successful police investigations. Anyone with information involving criminal activity in their area are encouraged to contact their local RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

omg post these officers to the traffic section of the tch here on the island so they can issue tickets for the outragious and dangerous driving practices people are doing unchecked. Instead of being in their homes stoned, the end users of this weed they confiscated will be on the booze and getting into real trouble.
