Hopedale RCMP arrest male in break-and-enter case

Hopedale RCMP have arrested a 19-year-old male in connection to a break-in that happened early Saturday morning.

According to a news release, the occupant of a mobile trailer was awoken by an intruder, leading to a physical altercation that caused the intruder to flee the scene.

Police arrested the 19-year-old later that day and charged him with break and enter and breach of court orders. He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Happy Valley-Goose Bay Provincial Court on Monday for a bail hearing.
