Police in northern Labrador have arrested a 28-year-old male in connection with an alleged break-and-enter and a sexual assault involving a minor.
William Conrad Onalik is charged with sexual assault, sexual touching involving a person under the age of 16 years, and break-and-enter.
Onalik made a court appearance Saturday morning by telephone from the police station where he was being held. Judge James Walsh has ordered a publication ban on information that could help identify the victim.
Walsh ordered that Onalik be remanded in police custody. He is scheduled to appear at provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on Monday.
