RCMP looking for man accused of punching woman in the face

The RCMP in Sheshatshiu is searching for a 55-year-old man who allegedly punched a woman in the face in the community Wednesday night, resulting in her being transported to hospital in Happy Valley-Goose Bay for medical treatment.

RCMP officers arrived at a residence in the community about 9:49 p.m. and found the 45-year-old victim with a bloodied face.

The male suspect had fled the scene.

An ambulance was called to transport the woman to hospital and a search began for the suspect.

He'll be a drunken man; short 'n stout, with bruised knuckles and wads of money flowing from under his hoodie; he'll likely be in breach of court orders and on probation, with a lengthy criminal record.

The accused may be male but he certainly isn't a man! Punching a woman to the point where she has to be taken to the hospital what self-respecting man does something like that?
