At 8:15 this morning, firefighters in Happy Valley-Goose Bay responded to a house fire on Woodland Driver in Spruce Park.

The fire, apparently, started in the garage and spread to the main part of the house. By the time the firefighters arrived, the garage was up in flames.

The main part of the house became filled with smoke. According to one firefighter on the scene, it looked as though there was extensive interior damage, but it was impossible to get the full scope of the situation because of all the smoke.

All the occupants of the house got out safely, without any reported injuries.
