Domestic Violence Leads To Arrest In Goose Bay

The RCMP in Happy Valley/Goose Bay, NL responded to a complaint of domestic violence in the community at approximately 8:15 pm last night. Investigation into this complaint revealed that a 53 year old male from Goose Bay and his 29 year old female partner were in an argument when the male assaulted the female. The assault occurred in front of an 8 year old child. The male was subsequently arrested and held for a Bail Hearing which will occur this morning at Happy Valley/Goose Bay Provincial Court.

The male will be facing the following charges:

Assault X 2, Choke To Overcome X 1, Uttering Threats Against A Person X 2, Uttering Threats Against Property X 2.

The victim received minor injuries as a result of the assault.
