The Department of Transportation and Works advises the MV Marine Eagle, which serves the communities of Williams Harbour and Norman Bay, could end its seasonal service within days, depending on ice conditions.

The department is monitoring ice conditions in the area and has been advised that winter ice is beginning to form. The vessel will continue to operate until ice conditions cause it to be removed from service, or until January 31, which is the official end of the season.

The MV Marine Eagle serves Williams Harbour and Norman Bay in southern Labrador from May to January, as ice conditions allow.
