On May 4, RCMP officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Police say they were acting on reliable information received from the community. The search yielded approximately one pound of marihuana along with lesser amounts of cocaine and prescription drugs that were destined to hit the streets of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Police also seized approximately $1000.00 in cash.
The RCMP Street Drug Unit along with police officers from the HV-GB Detachment and General Investigation Section entered the home to search for illegal drugs. Three people were also arrested in the residence but were later released from custody. Charges are pending and they are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 20.
