N.L. schools split $75,000 in grants

Two Newfoundland and Labrador high schools will be receiving $75,000 in grants from Future Shop.

Holy Heart high school in St. John’s will be getting $50,000 to purchase new computers and software.

The school’s language classroom will be getting more than 30 new Apple iMac computers as well as new software and headsets with microphones.

The language classroom currently uses cassette tapes for their education needs.

In Labrador, the Menihek High school will receive $25,000 for new computers in the Fine Arts class.

The school currently uses old refurbished computers for Fine Arts student projects.
