Churchill Falls to host Atlantic Premiers session

The 17th Session of the Council of Atlantic Premiers will be held in Churchill Falls on Nov 20.

In attendance will be Premier Danny Williams, Premiers Darrell Dexter, Nova Scotia, Robert Ghiz, Prince Edward Island, and Shawn Graham, New Brunswick.

The 17th Session of the Council of Atlantic Premiers will be held in Churchill Falls on Nov 20.

In attendance will be Premier Danny Williams, Premiers Darrell Dexter, Nova Scotia, Robert Ghiz, Prince Edward Island, and Shawn Graham, New Brunswick.

Premiers will receive status reports with respect to activities of the past year including the Atlantic Gateway, as well as a report on the Council of the Federation Large-Scale Hydro Forum held recently in St. John's.

Premiers will discuss energy cooperation among the Atlantic Provinces, positions of the four provinces in regard to climate change, and the importance of Canada's economic relationship with the United States.
